Civic Independence

The People’s Declarations

Civic Independence is an independent, nonpartisan, citizen-initiated civic project offering three declarations for people to read, affirm, sign, and share in their own names.

It is not a party, campaign, organization, institution, or movement seeking control over others.

It is a peaceful civic instrument.

Its purpose is to help people recognize and exercise a power they already possess: the power to state, in their own names and together with others, what they affirm, what they reject, and what they will no longer consent to in silence.

The People’s Declarations Public Launch

July 4, 2026

Declaration of Civic Independence was first issued on March 26, 2026.

Declaration of Independence from Unaccountable Power is issued on July 4, 2026.

The Declaration for Life on Earth is available as an advance public edition, with formal issuance on Earth Day — April 22, 2027.

Read. Sign. Share. Stand Together.

The people are not powerless.

The people are not merely spectators.

The people do not exist only on election day.

The people retain the right to speak directly, peacefully, publicly,              and collectively when systems of power fail to answer to them.

These declarations are a way to make that voice visible.

They are a way to say:

We are here.

We see what is happening.

We do not consent to silence.

We affirm self-government, human dignity, public accountability,              nonviolence, truth, constitutional fidelity, and the future of life.

We stand together.

The Three Declarations

Declaration of Civic Independence

First issued March 26, 2026.

A declaration affirming moral and constitutional self-government, the equal dignity of human life, and the responsibility of the people to reject unaccountable foreign influence, unlawful war, and complicity in mass human suffering.

Declaration of Independence from Unaccountable Power

Issued July 4, 2026.

A declaration affirming that no power is legitimate when it becomes unaccountable to the people, insulated from truth, hostile to consent, or organized beyond democratic correction.

The Declaration for Life on Earth

Available as an advance public edition: July 4, 2026.
Formal issuance: Earth Day — April 22, 2027.

A declaration affirming the responsibility of humanity to protect the living Earth, future generations, and the conditions that make life, justice, freedom, and peace possible.

One Person. One Signature. One Public Civic Record.

A declaration cannot be gerrymandered.

It cannot be reduced to an election deadline, a party process, a court calendar, a donor agenda, or a controlled outcome.

It begins where democratic power is supposed to begin:

with the people.

Independent. Nonpartisan. Nonviolent.

Civic Independence is independent, nonpartisan, citizen-initiated, and grounded in nonviolence.

These declarations are offered for people to read, affirm, sign, share, and carry forward in their own names.

Let it be known where the people stand.
